I recently purchased an online business. When I bought my Independent Business, said there would be no learning curve. Boy, no kidding! I'm not complaining, but it would be like going back to school.

After reviewing a large number of documents, I put my business plan in action, which includes both and offline strategies. One of my strategies to apply online has been the use of flyers. So I developed my booklet, printed and taken to the local shopping center site in the windshield that I could find.

Jackpot! There must be 600 or 700 cars waiting for my little money makers. Immediately I ran a car in 1, 2, 5, 10, 50 and before I knew I had distributed about 300 brochures. Click OK to hang out the other side of the mall.

Here I Go Again, 1, 5, 50, etc. This insert was fabulous because I knew that sales have been a large number (and of course the UPS tracking). I have been at least 500 cars and now I was sure that I was on my way to becoming an online marketing guru. hhum!

Huh! What is this? A man in uniform. "I can help" calls. "No sir, I am promoting a new business line" Did you know that goes against policy to find any place where downtown property commercial, and if not removed all prospects to impose a fine against the owner of the Prospectus

Gulp! HUH! ahh … arghh!

Well, let me tell them never to take the wind from my sails soon!

So I left, the elimination of all these perspectives, both work for nothing. Can you say discouraged? The tail between the legs I left my vehicle. I sat thinking and thinking, trying to shake the thoughts of the collapse of marketing. What am I to do now?

Ahh a small dash of genius I'm going to put them into residential mailboxes. So I go again, after the mailbox after that the mailbox letters. Determined to get my numbers. I had distributed about 100 flyers, and then it happened. "Hey what are you doing "A voice from behind. I turned right around and you guessed it, the postman. Long story short. It is against the policy of the post office to put brochures in residential mailboxes. Not yet. Fortunately I remove one of them.

Was good enough for the day so I went home and called my office local post course right.They factor and suggested he could sign up at a mall by a couple hundred dollars. So I called the council and they told me City was a settlement on the placement of flyers on the windshields of cars, but I could not put them in residential door. Voila! problem solved.

So the lesson here is (at least for me) before distributing flyers, be sure to check with local authorities on the laws and regulations governing actions. Also, if you decide to go door to door, clothing, snacks and drink plenty of fluids.

He was the Rigging Gaffer on Five Days To Midnight starring Randy Quaid and Timothy Hutton .He has worked on award winning television shows including Smallville and Stargate Atlantis.His feature film work includes, X Men, Fantastic Four and 3000 Miles To Graceland.

Hornbeck is now an internet marketer.
